Yoga At The Academy
We have some excellent Instructors, or Yogi's for Yoga. Skilled in Yin, Nidra, Reiki, Trauma and Chakra healing Yoga for all ages. They're willing to work with, and tailor the class to each person's individual needs. Whether you're a beginner, or a vet and want a different play to stretch and practice, our Instructors embody the Spirit of LMAA, which is love and patience.
One of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. Yoga’s incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person’s mental well-being. Regular practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increasing body awareness; relieving chronic stress patterns; relaxing the mind; centering attention; and sharpens your concentration. There's a healing in Yoga that can't be understated. Modern medical profession's are now suggesting Yoga to their patients.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles.
Yoga Nidra is a deep form of meditation and a state of consciousness that helps to relives stress. It's a relaxing state between being asleep and awake.
Reiki is a healing practice using the energy of the universe to help stimulate wholeness and stability in your emotional and physical well-being.
Yoga at The Academy takes place on Fridays from 5:45-6:45pm & Sundays from 9:30-10:30am
